Did you all see Jennifer Maguire's video for her Vellum Overlay card? Well this is my take on that technique. My vellum wouldn't be sturdy enough to make a card base so I just let it be a cover.
First I stamped the Purple Onion Designs Heart Flower image twice using my Mini Misti in Antique Linen Distress ink. Then I used my Copics to color it in for a no-line technique. Here's a shot of what that looks like.
The vellum piece was laid on top and I used my old trusty Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the images for my Versamark stamping. Then I added the white embossing powder. This vellum warps and shrinks a bit so I had the trim it slightly to fit the card base better. Then I decided to trim a bit off the left side to let the cardstock color be seen at it's full color.
I machine stitched at the top to hold the vellum down and used some hemp cord at the bottom to do the same.

It's a great technique and one I want to play with some more.
