Sleigh ride

     I tried a few different techniques on this card using Art Impressions Sleigh Ride Circlet MTF set.  I hand drew the frame on the front panel with a ruler and colored in the corners.  

     After making the tri-fold card with the images, I just attached it to the top of a plain white panel with the red scalloped mat.  You can write a short note on the inside of the card or turn the whole thing over and write on the entire backside.  

     The holly branch and berries were made using the Die Cutting Napkins tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers.  It's a really cool tutorial so check it out.  

     Basically you die cut your image through eight layers of napkin which is kind of fused together in the cutting process and then you color it with watercolors.  The napkin sort of plumps up with this cool texture.

     I used my Prismas for the coloring.  You can see some of that napkin texture here.

Thankful for you

     This card goes out to all my bloggie friends.  I really am thankful for you and all your encouragement.

     For today's card I have used Purple Onion Designs adorable Rosie.  She's been done in Distress inks and given a background of a wash of purple and some splatters of the same plus some gold watercolor paint.

Fall foliage

     It's two-fer Tuesday!  LOL  I'm behind in getting my projects posted so you get two Purple Onion Designs creations today.

     First up is Cinnamon Squirrel who is thankful for all his acorns.  I stamped the leaves and acorns (Autumn Fallings) several times and added them to the Hang in There tree branch.  One of the sentiments from the Thanksgiving Feast sentiment set finishes off the stamping.

     Next up is some loose watercoloring over images from the Doodle Foliage set.  I just used several Distress inks to add fall colors and LOTS of splatter.

     For those of you wondering, the benefit for my friend went very well this past weekend.  God blessed and on top of the money we were able to raise we got to know lots of her family who came over from New Orleans and Atlanta to help.  Amazing people and now people we can call friends.

     Today I have three cards to share using the new Window to the World cling stamps from Art Impressions.  These sweet stamps have lovely scenes with a Bible scripture around the perimeters.  I've used my watercolors on all of them, die cut them with a square die and added them to an assortment of card layouts.  There are three more I'll be sharing later.

Fabulous chicks!

     Some of you may recall that I am a chicken fanatic.  My kitchen is covered in cluckers so when I saw this new set from Art Impressions called Spring Chicken, I was super excited.

     For this card I stamped the image and colored with my Gansai Tambi watercolors.  Next I cut the image out with an oval die.  I added some doodling around the edge for some "chicken scratch" and popped the frame up on some foam.  I adhered the image oval straight to the card base.

     Hope my cluckers gave you a chuckle today.

Garden bunnies

     More new watercolor sets out from Art Impressions.  Aren't these bunnies precious!  I used several of the new sets to create this scene.

     You would think that since it's March already that I would have gotten writing "2017" down pat, but not here.  Arrgghhh!  Before I finished making that six in the date I knew it was wrong.  Ultimate back dating since this set was just created.  LOL

Watercolor pots

     Art Impressions has just released several new watercolor stamp sets so I've had my paintbrush out playing.  I made this for my mom's birthday.  I sued several of the new sets plus some of the old watercolor stamps to create this. These are the newer sets I used.

     Aren't they pretty!!  I love that you can mix and match all the images to create whatever kind of scene you want.

     Obviously I am still in the learning process for using these stamps, but they are really fun and offer a different kind of stamping experience.

Nutmeg the fall owl

     Here's a little fall fun for you.  Purple Onion Designs Nutmeg owl is dancing in the leaves.  I've colored Nutmeg with Gansai Tambi watercolors.  Nutmeg is part of a mini fall release from POD called Acorn Trail that you can find in the store.  Stay tuned for more POD goodies to come.

Watering Can Bouquet

     So how is your week going?  Mine started with the wonderful blessing of a dear friend making it smoothly through his second open heart surgery in the last three months.  God is so good and like the card says, He is always with us.

     I have another Purple Onion Designs card to share today.  This one was made with this sweet Flower image.  I stamped it in Versamark and embossed in white, then I watercolored.  I used POD's Grass stamp and one of their sentiments to finish the card off.
